Black Raspberries

A few years ago, I started with two or three black raspberry plants from a co-worker.  They have since spread significantly yielding over 12 cups of berries this year.  It is amazing!

The peaceful quiet rolls over me as my fingers dig in the black soil.

I cleaned up the plot with my beautiful daisies.

And then I went to Steins to spruce up this plot (after pulling many weeds).  The black eyed susan's and shasta daisies will be a great contrast to my red and purple monarda that I planted last year.

I'm so excited about my tomatoes.

Rotary Botanical Gardens

We also visited Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville yesterday.  This garden seemed to combine the abstract with the simplicity.
