Friday, April 11, 2014 I took this pictures of crocuses in our backyard that I planted fall 2012. Unfortunately, the heavy rains of that weekend kind of beat them down and so I didn’t get to seem them in full bloom.
That same day, I took the following picture in the front yard. This was all that had started poking through in the front yard:
Now today, after returning from a relaxing weekend in Madison, this is what I found in the front yard:
This evening we set up all the rain barrels so we are ready for the next rain. I also got my next shipment from Jung: tomato and pepper plants. Now, I need to find time to plant some at my dad’s house and put the others in bigger pots until it is safe to plant them at my house in the topsy turvies.
As to my begonias (some will go in hanging baskets, some in pots, others in the window box), they are making progress.
Here is a picture taken April 11, 2014 of the first ones I planted:
Here they are today (I have moved them to a sunnier location as they really are reaching towards the light – soon the sunroom should stay warm enough for them to go there):
Here are the ones I planted several weeks after the ones above:
Saturday, April 12, 2014 we had an unlikely visitor to our yard that I thought I would share here.
