It was a good day for gardening!

We spent part of last weekend cleaning up the yard and setting up the rain barrels and today I found some time to do some planting, preparing the area for my future Fairy Garden, and putting out all of my lawn and garden ornaments.
Primrose

A mix of asian greens

 kale and swiss chard

my first tulips of the season

astilbe

some perennials native to Wisconsin

my dry pond/bridge area (a project from a couple of years ago)

I think these are irises.

The Fairy Garden will go under the bay window next to the rain barrel.

more spring bulbs

This is where the greens are planted.  I hope to add some flower flowers
when the chance of frost has passed.

peonies - these are growing fast!

one of my rain guages

I love these daffodils.  I picked up the sign at Patterson's Orchard.

ferns - I love the start of them each spring!

This is a tree planted by the squirrels, the year I thought it would be neat to decorate an evergreen with birdseed (including pinecones covered in peanut butter and then seeds.  The squirrels didn't let the birds enjoy it.

The start of daisies and other perennials.
